The name of my application is Mission V.I.C (Victoria Interface Control)

It was inspired by the fact that I am very bad at reading maps, I like to use landmarks to work out where I am. Once I decided to base my app on this I realised that it would be very boring to interact with. To counteract this I decided to stylise my app, I think having a consistent style through the interface makes it easier to interact with.

In an attempt to make getting to class fun I took inspiration from Mission Impossible. If you’re using the app for the first time you enter your name. From the homescreen you can start a new mission i.e. get directions. I think the navigation scheme that I have used is pretty easy to understand, where you would like to get directions from and to and then you follow the onscreen instructions. Since there are photos at each of the checkpoints you are always sure that you’re on the right path.
From the homescreen you can also open ‘Archived Missions’ i.e. saved directions, see which of your allies are available to rendezvous, and also open a map. Another feature that I added is a ‘pending missions’ icon that shows you current events and gives you the option of getting directions to them.
