Failure

 I've been working with interference to try and get the cracked surface look. Here are two of my failed attempts. I was trying to blackout some of the red by drawing lines over the top.





















I'm going to try drawing many small red triangles at random angles about a line, I think that would work better especially if I make them more transparent as they get further away from the line. It may end up looking like crystals growing on a piece of string.
